The Department of English was established in 1999.The Department intends to start a language study circle where in all the language teachers and students meet and present paper on the topic related to their subject for 10 minutes.

 

 

The objective is to share the knowledge of literature and characteristic features of different languages. One programme in each semester to be conducted by inviting resource persons from outside.

The department gives much importance to learner centered methods than teacher centered methods. Modern Teaching methods like Study Projects, Class Room Seminars, Question Answer Sessions, Group discussion on current trends, Power Point Presentations are always encouraged and practiced by the Department.

The department is responsible in bring out newsletter every year which composes all activities of the college. The department is responsible in conducting programmes on behalf of Women Empowerment cell to enhance our students by empowering them self-confidence and the required skills to enable them to become independent and contribute to family and society
